CONDUCTING SYSTEM OF HEART

CONDUCTING SYSTEM OF THE HEART:
THE HEART WILL GO ON BEATING AFTER IT HAS BEEN CUT RIGHT OF THE BODY. CARDIAC MUSCLES ARE MYOGENIC
THE COMPONENTS OF CONDUCTING SYSTEM ARE
1-SINOATRIAL NODE
2-ATRRIOVENTRICULAR NODE
3-ATRIOVENTRICULAR BUNDLE
4-CONDUCTING MYOFIBRILS
SINOATRIAL NODE:(SA NODE)
IT CONSIST OF SPECIALIZED PLEXUS OF CARDIAC MUSCELS EMBEDDED IN THE UPPER WALL OF THE RIGHT ATRIUM. IT IS CLOSE TO WHERE VENA CAVAE ENTER THE ATRIUM. THE SA NIDE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FROM THE SINUS VENOSUS AND HAS BEEN BECOME THE PART IF ATRIUM,SO IT IS CALLED SINOATRIAL NODE

AV NODE:
The atrioventricular node or AV node is a part of the electrical conduction system of the heart that coordinates the top of the heart. It is present near the junction of right atrium and right ventricle Av node is connected to a strand of specializef muscles known as bundle of his(pronounced as hiss. This bundle pasess through a small opening in the fibrous skelton to reach the interatrial septum, where it devides to form right and left bundle branches, which extenfs beneath the endocardium on either side of the interventicular septum to the apices of the right and left ventrices respectively. The inferiour bundle branches if the bundle branches are called  purkinje fibre. Which are large-diameeter cardiac muscel fibres. They have fewer myofibrils than most cardiac muscel cells and donot contract forcefully .Intercalated discs are developed between the purkinje fibre and contain numerous gap junctions
