VECTORS

                         VECTORS:
A physical quantity which can be completely described by both magnitude and directon is called vector quantity
Examples: velocity,displacment,accelaration,torque,momentum,weight,angular velocity,electric intensity etc
        Vector representation
A vector is represented in two ways
1-Symbolic representation
2-Graphical representation
         Symbolic representation
It is represented by boldface letter or simple face letter with an arrow head placed below or above the letter
           Graphical representation
It is represented by a straight line with an arrow head at its one end.The length of line represents magnitude of vector(according to suitable scale) Arrow head represent direction of vector
The starting point of line is called origin or tail point of the vector and the end point of the vector is called head point
